International Endeavor Conference in Montevideo

Frias visited Uruguay November 23-26 to participate in the
9th International Endeavor Conference, where she spoke on
the subject of "The Role of the Media in the Development
of Entrepreneurs". While in Montevideo, Frias had a
number of television, newspaper, and radio interviews, and
met with U.S. Embassy officials James Nealon and Linda Gonzalez.
The conference was co-sponsored by the U.S.
Embassy Montevideo and organized by Endeavor-Uruguay, a
non-profit organization aimed at promoting entrepreneurship
as a tool for development.
Gabriela Frias is a business anchor for
CNN en Español. She is the host of En Efectivo, the
network's personal finance show. Prior to joining CNN, Frias
was a business reporter for Reforma, one of Mexico's most important daily newspapers, and served as assistant director of the American Chamber of Commerce in Mexico City. She also worked in the commercial division of the U.S. Embassy in
Mexico.
