U.S. Embassy Delegation Visits Alianza Binational Center in
Colonia Chargé James Nealon and
political officer Peter Harding met with BNC students, teachers

Following a meeting in Colonia with governor
Walter Zimmer (see related photo
essay), U.S. Chargé D'Affaires James Nealon visited
the local branch of the Alianza Binational Center (BNC)
on November 1, 2005 to liaise with students and teachers.
The Colonia BNC was founded in 1992 and has over 300 students.
It teaches American English and culture. The center is also
involved in a variety of cultural and academic activities
in the local community. The city of Colonia is located about
105 miles west of Montevideo.
