More than 150 veterinarians and veterinary
students attended a seminar conducted by Dr. Lillian Ruth
Aronson, assistant professor of surgery at the University
of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
The seminar, held Aug. 26 at the UTE
Technical Training Center in Montevideo, was organized by
the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS-USDA),
the US Embassy, the University of the Republic-School of
Veterinary Medicine, and the Uruguayan Society of Small
Animal Veterinarians (SUVEPA).
Dr. Aronson spoke on the surgical
approach to cats with urolithiasis, urinary tract trauma
and renal transplantation.
UTE made arrangements for the conference location.
Dr. Pablo Etchemendy served as interpreter
during the conference.
