500 wheel chairs donated to local institutions for the handicapped

Handicapped children were first to receive donations

The Church of the Later Day Saints and the Wheelchair Foundation donated 500 wheel chairs to local institutions for the handicapped. The chairs were received by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and by the organization "Todos por Uruguay" administered by Uruguay's first lady, Mercedes Menafra.

The formal presentation took place last Thursday, December 2, at the Presidency's "Palacio Libertad".
