The Inter Embassy Tournament or "Campeonato Internacional Mundialito Relaciones Exteriores" kicked off Saturday afternoon with three games on tap. A total of six teams are in this Divisional "A" championship, representing the Embassies of Argentina, Italy, Spain and the United States, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Uruguay), and the Latin American Integration Association (Aladi).

The opening match featured Uruguay vs. United States. It was an even-paced game with outstanding goalkeeping on both sides that thwarted several good chances for goal. G. Vazquez scored for Uruguay well into the second half, a result that the U.S. team was unable to change.

The other games played were Spain vs. Aladi and Argentina vs. Italy. Spain had its way with Aladi, beating them 6-1 and Italy overpowered Argentina 4-2.

On Wednesday, United States will play Aladi at the Carrasco Polo Club, a game that is scheduled to start at 6:45 pm., and on Saturday at 6 pm. it will be against Italy at the "El Futuro" complex on Km.22½ of the Interbalnearia.
