U.S. Chargé D'Affaires James Nealon addresses a group of 10 students from Abilene Christian University in Texas spending a semester in Uruguay. Accompanied by professor Rhonda Collier, the group visited the U.S. Embassy Montevideo on November 21, 2006 for a briefing on how an embassy operates, and the political, economic and cultural situation in the country. Abilene Christian University has a long standing exchange program in the country. The students invariably have a strong interest in the culture and history of Uruguay and also are very motivated to learn Spanish.
