with Dr. Lia Viana who represents Puerto Rico. |
As in previous years, the Embassy of
the Unites States is participating in the Prado Rural Fair,
which opened this week. The Fair is the largest agro-industrial
and commercial exhibition in Uruguay attracting an average
of 500.000 visitors annually. The latest in agricultural equipment
and services can be found on display at the various stands
representing a variety of countries and companies.
Embassy personnel manning the U.S. stand
will be at hand to explain some of the services that our
Commercial Section can offer to Uruguayan importers who
may be interested in products and services from the United
States. A variety of brochures about U.S. agricultural products
are readily available at the stand.
Visitors will also be able to obtain
other information about the United States, such as the Fullbright
scholarship program, and tourism.
