DONATION OF MEDICINES TO THE HOSPITAL OF RIVERA

The United States Embassy donated today medicine and medical and surgical equipment to the Rivera Hospital.

This donation was generated by U.S. Ambassador Martin J. Silverstein’s visit to Rivera last June. His visit to the hospital made him aware of the important work being done by the medical staff as well as their principal needs.

The help from the United States promised by Ambassador Silverstein during that visit was delivered today.

Second Secretary Jeff Vick, representing Ambassador Silverstein, traveled to Rivera to deliver this donation to Hospital Director Dr. Carlos M. Laguzzi.
