EMBASSY OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
NON-IMMIGRANT VISAS

Welcome to the Non-Immigrant Visa Section of the Consulate of the United States in Montevideo.

One of our principal missions is to provide non-immigrant visa services to Uruguayan citizens and foreign citizens who are residing in Uruguay.

It is mandatory for every non-immigrant visa applicant to complete the DS-156 form on-line through this website. This form is located under the Section “Forms”. Print the form with a good quality laser printer and bring it to the visa interview. If the DS-156 form is not completed properly, the applicant will have to request a new appointment through our Visas Information Center.

VACCINES: please note that no special immunizations are required to travel to the United States from Uruguay.

VISA WAIVER PROGRAM: ESTA Authorization required for all Visa Waiver Program countries. THE ESTA APPLICATION PROCESS IS FREE.
