Media Counsel Will Discuss Obama’s Impact on Latin America

September 1 Spanish webchat with Estuardo Rodriguez of The Raben Group

Posted: August 28, 2009
Join us for a gripping and frank discussion in Spanish on American politics and the impact of President Obama’s foreign policy in Latin America. The conversation will center on Barack Obama, detailing his rise to power, first as a candidate in a crowded field of potent challengers, including Hillary Clinton, and then later his challenges in transitioning to power and governing after eight years of President Bush. Special attention will be given to changes in American society, the relationships of minority groups to the first African-American president, and future Obama administration policies toward Latin America. Any and all questions are welcome.

This webchat will take place on September 1 at 3 p.m. EDT (4 p.m. in Uruguay). Our guest presenter is Estuardo Rodriguez.

Estuardo Rodriguez serves as counsel on media and communications at the The Raben Group, a Washington lobbying firm, where he brings years of experience with media and message development in addition to extensive experience with government affairs and specialized marketing to Hispanic communities. Raised in Washington, Rodriguez received his bachelor's degree in political science and philosophy from Barry International Catholic University in Miami, Florida, and his law degree from St. John's University School of Law in New York City. He is a co-founder and president of the Hispanic Lobbyists Association, a member of the Hispanic Bar Association of the District of Columbia (Washington) and a board member of the Fairfax County (Virginia) Medical Care for Children Partnership.
