The municipality of Rivera is located in northern Uruguay on the border with Brazil. Its capital city, also named Rivera, is a border community that forms an international city of 200.000 inhabitants together with Livramento (Brazil.)
Ambassador and Mrs. Baxter visiting the Minera San Gregorio facility in Rivera. The plant produces over 70,000 ounces of gold per year and is the largest employer in the area.
