The Ron Brown is a state-of-the-art oceanographic and atmospheric research platform that travels worldwide supporting scientific studies to increase our understanding of the world's oceans and climate. The students, along with their science teachers, had the opportunity of exploring the ship and learning about the equipment aboard. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is a federal agency focused on the condition of the oceans and the atmosphere.
