University of Oklahoma Seeking Reciprocal Exchange Partners in Uruguay

Will meet with representatives from Uruguay's national public university and 3 other private universities in Montevideo

Ken Feagins, director of the Oklahoma State Department of Health Office of Accountability Systems, Dr. Millie Audas and University of Oklahoma (OU) assistant director for Study Abroad Karen Elmore met with U.S. Ambassador Frank E. Baxter upon arriving to Uruguay where they will visit four universities as possible reciprocal exchange partners for the University of Oklahoma's Latin American Studies program. The OU's primary model of study abroad is reciprocal exchange, the university sends students to and receives students from partner universities all over the world. OU currently has 174 signed reciprocal exchange agreements with universities in 66 countries. As part of the process for selecting partner universities, the OU team will be meeting with representatives from the Uruguayan universities ORT, Católica, Universidad de la Republica and Universidad de Montevideo.
