National Honor Society students from the Uruguayan-American School in Montevideo organized a special Thanksgiving celebration for families of the Empalme community, a low socio-economic neighborhood located in the outskirts of the city. Nearly 60 families enjoyed a traditional holiday meal and shared in the spirit of Thanksgiving. The students are pictured above with U.S. Ambassador Frank E. Baxter who attended the event to help serve the meals and to spend a wonderful time with the families of the Empalme community.
